Yifei "Frank" Zhang, MD

Dr. Zhang graduated from Utah State University in 2006 with a B.S. in Computer Engineering, and then worked in the HVAC controller industry in Massachusetts for one and a half years before switching to medicine. He received his medical degree in 2012 at University of Louisville in Louisville, KY and completed his internal medicine residency in 2015 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. After finishing his Nephrology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, he accepted an offer to join us here at Lincoln Nephrology! Frank is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

His professional interests include acute kidney injury, continuous and intermittent renal replacement modalities, bone mineral disorder in chronic kidney disease, and electrolyte disorders.

Dr. Zhang has many hobbies he enjoys during his free time, including saltwater aquariums, PC gaming, traveling to comic book and anime conventions, car tuning, military history, and exploring interesting foods.
